Welcome, Friend!

The Natural Method Yoga Studio is a place to come back to balance. Move and breathe, fill your body and mind with strength, energy and peace, and let your spirit soar. The Natural Method conveys tools to carry off of the yoga mat into daily life to be the stronger, kinder, genuine self you are at heart.

At Natural Method we have group and private classes & guidance available, workshops and custom lectures & demonstrations available. We are dedicated to Green Karma Community Service- with and without volunteers, we play an active roll is cheering and grooming the local neighborhoods.

Introduction to the Natural Method™

The Natural Method ™ is a modern school of yoga & philosophy created in 2005 by Laura Osborne that emphasizes synchronization of spirit (purusha) with natural and personal rhythms (prakruti) to find harmony.

It honors individuality, intuition, introspection, inner- and interconnection.

The Natural Method ™ incorporates yoga practice and awareness with various mindfulness and lifestyle changes off the mat to bring an everday enlightenment to our lives. This is a living practice, not just some isolated exercising in class, but part of a deeper quest to explore what life means to you, and to live what you believe in your heart. I hope for all of my students to maintain a living yoga sadhana, or spiritually-focused way of life. Remember, yoga is universal, not implying or emphasizing one particular religion. Only you can choose how and what you believe. Bring it with you, and keep it in your heart while you practice, and feel it grow and enlighten your whole life!

I have created a list of ways we can bring this harmonious connection into daily life, and it is called the Green Dharma ™. Green Dharma is the teaching of Natural Method- a blending of east and west, wisdom of the natural world and environmental stewardship to instill a deep sense of the vast interconnection of all life. It is in feeling, understanding, living in the depth of this sacred energetic web of which we are all an important part, that provides inner and outer love, contentment, health and balance. Here we define enlightenment as living in content and high-spirited, loving harmony with the natural world, personal and natural rhythms.

the natural method's Green Dharma

Breathe. Eat. Move. Live. Love. Rest. Respect.

Breathe.
...deeply...FRESH OUTDOOR AIR...mindfully remind yourself to take deep breaths and move into a good posture as much as possible.

Eat.
drink plenty of WATER. Cut out unnatural items and excessive caffeine and alcohol. Eat small meals of WHOLE, NATURAL HEALING FOODs at 3-4 hours rhythms. Emphasize produce & whole grains. Vegetarianism is highly recommended.

Move.
YOGA tones & relaxes the mind, body, and spirit. Two classes+ weekly recommended and interim practice at home for at least a few minutes daily. WALK OUTDOORS as much as you can, use it as a functional part of your life, as exercise and as a moving meditation or prayer. Use CHORES + HOBBIES as meditative and functional exercise.

Live.
Follow your heart's longing and INTUITION. Get outdoors and CONNECT TO NATURE as much as possible. Breathe fresh air- use natural light- be amoungst plants & trees indoors and out. Connect with each moment- slow your mind to ENJOY THE MOMENT in its full depth instead of only giving it half attention. Use your imaginiation, laugh, play! Life is sacred.

Love.
APPRECIATE what you have, don't worry about the have-nots. Express your LOVE, COMPASSION, INSPIRATION and share time actually in the present moment WITH YOUR LOVED ONES. Practice SELF-LOVE and discover your beauty.

Rest.
SLEEP 6-9 hours nightly. MEDITATE daily 5-45+minutes. Even 5 daily is beneficial.

Respect.
Respect the VALUE OF ALL LIFE: self, others, plant, animal, Earth. Respect inner-rhythms, Nature's Rhythms. Respect your value, limits, and journey. Live in the most simple and sustainable way you can in regard of the planet's resources. Make small steps forward, instead of being paralyzed by the length of the journey.

Green Dharma can be capped by our Eco-Karmic Philosophy:As ALL life is precious, sacred and equally valuable on this planet, ALL life is entitled to embody its essence of harmony of health. We must respect the value of every living and natural thing, as we respect the value of other humans. All life forms deserve happiness and freedom from suffering. Also, as an individual understands this, there is an awakened priority to move towards one's own health and enlightenment. As a collective world, for every one individual that attains deeper awareness, stewardship and well-being, the entire world-consciousness benefits. You are one precious piece of the whole of life on Earth... when you are well and fulfilled, and living in a compassionate manner, the Earth is one step closer to it's fulfillment. Please do not devalue yourself, nor neglect your needs for holistic health, because you are thus harming yourself and the world around you.. Now maybe you can find time and motivation to follow your heart to nourishing and vivid living!
